Call for Entries for International Theatre Festival of Kerala
(ITFOK 2010)
We invite proposals for participation in the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi’s 3rd International Theatre Festival of Kerala, (ITFOK 2010), which will be held in Thrissur, Kerala, India, from the 22nd to the 31st of December 2010.
Though ITFOK 2010 will focus on plays from Latin American countries, few productions from other countries also will be in the festival. Also there will be showcase of contemporary Indian productions and a panorama of short plays in the fringe category.
The festival will feature work by directors, theatre groups and drama institutions from abroad and India and will showcase outstanding productions that have been performed for the public on or before August 15, 2010.
Directors or groups from India only can apply for this segment. Proposals are invited from interested theatre groups.
Applications should reach the Akademi, with the prescribed form duly filled along with all enclosures, by 07 September, 2010. There should be separate application forms for each play.

The filled-in form should be accompanied by a clear recording of the production in VCD/DVD/VHS format along with the written consent of the playwright so as to avoid any future copyright problem. A detailed synopsis and scene-wise summary in English would also be required.
The selection of plays for the festival will be done by a curatorial committee of theatre experts whose decision will be final and binding. .
The official web site of the ITFOK is under redesign and modification, and will be operative by first week of August 2010.
